CELTIC RACE 2026 – German Championship as the Highlight of Two Major Anniversaries

German Championship as the Highlight of Two Major Anniversaries

Rodheim-Bieber, February 2026 – On August 30, 2026, AMC Rodheim-Bieber will host the German Mountain Bike Marathon Championship around the Dünsberg. The national title race will thus return to this iconic venue for the first time since 2010.

Hosting the German Championship represents the sporting highlight of a very special year: the Dünsberg Bike Marathon celebrates its 20th anniversary, while AMC Rodheim-Bieber looks back on 70 years of club history. By staging the national championship, the club underlines the Dünsberg’s significance as one of Germany’s premier marathon mountain bike locations.

Germany’s Elite in Central Hesse

The German Championship is expected to attract the country’s top marathon mountain bikers. Demanding trails, selective climbs, and the characteristic low mountain range landscape have made the Dünsberg one of the most challenging and respected marathon destinations in Germany.

In addition to the championship race, further competitions for mountain bike and gravel riders will be offered, allowing ambitious amateur athletes to become part of this exceptional event.

A Strong Sporting Statement in an Anniversary Year

“The return of the German Championship to the Dünsberg is a great honor for us and the perfect setting to celebrate 20 years of the Dünsberg Bike Marathon and 70 years of AMC Rodheim-Bieber,” says the organizing team.

The event is expected to attract athletes and spectators from across the country and will send a strong sporting signal for the entire region.
