Over 500 Participants Kick Off the Celtic Race – the18th Dünsberg Bike Marathon

The AMC Rodheim-Bieber celebrated an extraordinarily successful weekend at the Celtic Race, the 18th Dünsberg Bike Marathon. With perfect weather and brilliant sunshine, over 500 enthusiastic participants gathered to take on the challenges of the Dünsberg. Whether on a mountain bike, gravel bike, or e-bike – there was something for everyone. While some riders competed for the best time, for others it was all about the shared experience and the joy of the sport. The day brought together performance and fun in perfect harmony, capturing the true spirit of the marathon.

Variety of Challenges and Courses

With different course lengths and difficulty levels, there was something for every level of fitness and experience. Athletes could choose from a variety of categories, including demanding long-distance routes for experienced mountain bikers, challenging gravel routes, and relaxed short courses, ideal for e-bikers and recreational riders. This diversity ensured the marathon attracted both ambitious competitors and casual cyclists alike.

Impressive Sense of Community

In addition to athletic performance, the sense of community was at the forefront. The AMC Rodheim-Bieber was proud to once again organize an event that brought together people from the region and beyond. The atmosphere along the course was filled with enthusiasm, mutual support, and countless spectators cheering on the riders.

A Big Thank You to All Helpers and Sponsors

The AMC Rodheim-Bieber would like to extend a special thank you to all supporters. Without the generous sponsors, the hardworking volunteers, the forestry department, political representatives, and all other involved parties, this event would not have been possible. “The dedication and support of our helpers are truly exceptional,” praised Thomas Gerlach, the first chairman of the AMC Rodheim-Bieber. “It fills me with pride that we were able to organize an event for the 18th time that receives such widespread attention and enthusiasm.”

An Event with a Future

Over the years, the Dünsberg Bike Marathon has become a key event in the national mountain biking scene. The AMC Rodheim-Bieber is already planning for the future and is confident that in the coming years, numerous athletes will continue to tackle the Dünsberg with excitement and joy. “Our goal is to further develop the event and create an unforgettable experience for all participants year after year,” Gerlach concluded.

With a great sense of satisfaction and anticipation for next year, the AMC Rodheim-Bieber concludes a highly successful race weekend.
